I was honored to join hundreds of thousands of my fellow Americans at the March for Our Lives in Washington, D.C. The message we carry is clear: the time is now for responsible gun legislation. Our legislators, in Washington and Richmond, need to put special interest groups (and their money) aside for the good of the country and Commonwealth. This is not a movement to confiscate all firearms. This is not an anti-Second Amendment movement. This is a movement that understands that all rights come with reasonable restrictions. We have the right to free speech, but not to defame. We have the right to practice our religion, but not to force others to do so. We have the right to own a firearm, but that right is neither universal nor unlimited.
